Zikr - Daily Duas ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.

Zikr - Daily Duas is designed with privacy in mind. We collect only what is strictly necessary:

• Location Data: Your GPS coordinates are used solely to calculate accurate prayer times and determine the Qibla direction. Location data is never stored on our servers and is processed entirely on your device.
• Usage Data (Local Only): Your prayer attendance records, Quran reading progress, Tasbeeh counts, and favourites are stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage (Hive). This data never leaves your device.
• No Account Required: The App does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personally identifiable information.

• Location is used exclusively to fetch prayer times and point the Qibla compass toward Makkah.
• All reading progress, bookmarks, and preferences are stored locally to personalise your experience across sessions.
• We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Aladhan API — to fetch daily prayer times based on your location. Only your coordinates are sent; no personal data is transmitted.
• Al-Quran Cloud / Open Quran APIs — to download Quranic text and audio. No personal data is sent.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim — to resolve your coordinates into a readable city name for display purposes only.

These services operate under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them if you have concerns.

• Location (While in Use): Required for prayer times and Qibla. You may deny this; prayer times will not be available without it.
• Notifications: Required for prayer time alerts. You can enable or disable these at any time in your device Settings or within the App.
• Internet Access: Required to download Quran content and prayer times. Once downloaded, the App functions offline.

All user data (progress, favourites, settings) is stored locally on your device using Hive — a lightweight, secure on-device database. No data is transmitted to our servers.

Zikr - Daily Duas does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The App is suitable for all ages and contains no inappropriate content. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

• You can clear your progress and preferences by uninstalling the App.
• You can revoke location or notification permissions at any time from your device's system Settings.
• There is no account to delete as we collect no personal data on our servers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable legal requirements. Any updates will be reflected here with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
